Amy has more than 35 years of experience in hospitality and most recently was a Director of Operations for a restaurant / family entertainment company where she helped bring a concept idea into an international franchise. Amy left that company about two years ago and still works as a Business and Sales Coach and Trainer with a Hospitality Training Company. Michael has been working as a Senior Loss Prevention Specialist with Universal Orlando Resorts/Theme Parks.
How did you transition from your prior occupation to starting a travel business…and what did that transition look like? Did any of your previous skills carry over?
We’ve both been working the cruise business and our other full-time jobs since we started and we are consistently ranked in the Top 10 every year. Hospitality is all about treating people well and that’s exactly what you need to do when working with your clients. The biggest challenge is balancing your time between two careers. We work nights and weekends to be available for clients. We are lucky that we work in the hospitality industry because that means our schedules are more flexible.

What’s on your bucket list?
While the list is long, near the top is a small group tour through Italy, Iceland for Northern Lights and a Viking Ocean cruise for the Norwegian Fjords.
